Running Accomplishments:

Started  running in 05

Qualified for Boston May 18th at Cleveland. 312:05

Here are my PB's

Marathon 309:48  (Detroit 08)

Boston marathon 314

Half 121:52 July 09 - Running from Cancer Tecumseh

10 mile run 102:06 / 59:09 TM -09

10k - 35:29 (TM)  36:46 won the race outright, Sept 08

5k - 16:59 August 09

Short-Term Running Goals:

Under 3 hours for a marathon.  This spring however I want to break 310 and qualify for Boston, I only need 315.  DID IT!! 312:05 - 309:48

Run a solid Boston Marathon and shoot for sub 3 fall 09, eventually want to run under 2:50

I want to break 36 mins in a 10 k race.

I want to break 17 mins in a 5 k if not lower.

Basically I want to see how far I can actually go in running, who knows.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to run as long as I can, it is life fuel.  I am a Chiropractor and it is a good example for my pts and also my family who runs also.

Most importantly I want to be the best I can be to my family.

And yes run sub 3 fall 09.  run 103 at the CRIM, break 36 for a 10k race, break 17 for a 5k.  Oh ya, run a half one of these days and break 124. Did it 121 this summer

Personal:

Married with 3 children.  5 year old son named Julian, 2 year old Sadie and Elliot who is 7 months.  Life is busy but fun and I believe we are living it to the fullest, running helps me do this.

Live in Windsor Ontario, love to vacation in our condo in Naples Florida.

My wife and I are both Chiropractors

G came over after work 5:30, different time to run, hard to wait for a run all day when I am used to weekend am's or lunch on work days.

10 miles 1.07:01

Good run considering I did not feel great.

Felt a bit yucky from a later dinner and a few glasses of wine, decided to run a 10k on the TM eventhough I was running later with G.

10k - 39:27  Felt decent.

8 miles at 5pm on the trail 6:59 avg.  Not bad for a double run.

Pizza and a glass of wine after with the G's family, fun.

MP run, 6:55 pace average.

Did not eat well the night before, travel to T.0, plus no water or breakfast, forgot.

Still know I could have run that pace for another 10 miles.  So have decided on a plan for next week.

Probably run 8 tomorrow.

3 mp on the tm after work and dinner, 20:20, not really sore or sharp just annoying and there.

felt terrible, back still sore.

can't believe that after 20 weeks of near perfect training, pb's, winning a race and tapering properly I get back pain a week before.

my response is oh well! I will dedicate this run to Elliot who was very sick this summer and battled through months compared to what I will have to do for 3-305 hours.

perserverence

Tough run Sunday but happy with a new PB.  My buddy Giancarlo qualified for Boston which was most important.  We had a great weekend and the results were just what we were after.  I struggled from 18 on, stitch and legs were tired, I expected a typical long run pick up but it just was not there.  The best part of the race was not letting the 310 pacer group pass me with 2 miles to go, I must of been doing 7:45's and thinking about walking but I found the strength because of my Elliot to finish under 310.  My little Elliot had whooping cough this year and had to fight through 2 months plus and I knew he had a much harder task than my painfull last 2 miles.

Weather was perfect best yet for a marathon that I have run.  I qualifed for Boston 2010 which is cool and my wife wants to run a half marathon so I have already booked Miami in Jan, Boston is too far away.

I did write a long entry but it somehow got erased so I am tired and have to go to bed and its already Tuesday.

Such an encouraging marathon and I am so excited to train for Miami.

was going to run 10 k on the TM at 6:53's but quickly felt tired and I guess a lack of motivation.  Decided to run the last mile @ 6 min pace, felt hard at first but it was nice to get that in especially only 4 days after the marathon.

4 miles 7 min pace on the TM.

1 and a half days of fasting basically which made it tough run especially the last mile.

150 Sunday night and today after the run I was 145.

Hope to stick at 145 after the cleanse for Boston training.

3.1 - 19:39, decent but had to pee.

break to pee

1 mile 5:52, wanted to run another 5k but legs felt a bit like jello.  Hoping its the 3 day cleanse and a bit tired still from the marathon but nevertheless a bit frustrating.
